The Makita BL1840B 18V 4.0 Ah Li-ion Battery blends more run time (35 percent longer than the Makita BL1830 battery) with a category-leading charge time of just 40 minutes, allowing it to spend more time operating and less time charging. It also has an L.E.D. charge level indicator to monitor battery charge for added convenience. Multi-contact terminals minimize electrical resistance and improve vibration-resistant connection reliability and eventually ensure a reliable supply of current to the instrument. The 18V LXT® 4.0Ah battery (BL1840) is only compatible with Star Protection instruments, which are identified by the Star Symbol and/or Yellow Battery Receiver under the instrument.

Makita 18 Volt Battery

Makita BL1840B battery is compact and shock-resistant. As compared to Ni-Cad, the Li-ion series has 430 percent more working power over its lifetime and is 40% Lighter than Ni-MH. During its lifespan, the Li-ion battery has negligible power loss when in operation or storage. At the click of a button, the MAKBL1840B features battery capacity indicator LEDs that show you how much power you have left. Makita 18V Volt Battery (BL1840) is only compatible with Star Protection instruments, which are identified by the Star Symbol and/or Yellow Battery Receiver under the instrument.
